Playtech, a gambling software development company based in the Isle of Man, recently signed a comprehensive deal with Greenwood Racing, Parx Casino owners. Parx has been operating in Pennsylvania in brick-and-mortar casinos and conducts online operations in the state.

Playtech made its American debut with deals with Bet365 and BetMGM, allowing it to operate in New Jersey. BetMGM is a joint venture between MGM Resorts International and Entain Holdings.

Looking to expand its market penetration, Playtech looked for a new partnership. Greenwood Racing and its licensed Parx Casinos made an ideal collaboration.

Current Parx presence

Parx Casino has been a strong presence in the Keystone State for several years and embraced the move online, launching its real money online casino to resounding success. The company’s online platform features cutting-edge graphics and technology, offering users gambling entertainment wherever they might be.

From slots games that require small bets to higher stakes table games, such as blackjack, Parx customers can access these games and place sports bets online. The company’s seamless online move, coupled with physical casino closures during COVID-19 lockdowns, ensured that Parx saw financial growth in a sector that experienced severe shrinkage in 2020.

In the words of Playtech’s CEO, Mor Weizer, the partnership between Playtech and Greenwood Racing is of great strategic value. Each company is set to benefit greatly from its terms and conditions. Playtech is gaining a more significant foothold in the American market, and Parx realizes its vision of expanding into other states.

Parx will have licenses to use Playtech’s products in Indiana, New Jersey, Michigan, and Pennsylvania under this deal. The company had long planned to include other US states in its operations, and the deal with Playtech will make these plans a reality.

The working relationship will commence with the launch of a Parx-branded online casino product available to customers in Michigan. Similar product launches in Indiana are expected to follow.
